As-Is units are usually 18 years and older, often pulled from long-haul rail service, and the imperfections are part of the deal - dents, big rust patches, possibly pinhole leaks in the roof corner, sometimes a soft spot in the deck.

For the right buyer, that’s a feature. Property owners out toward Strasburg and Bennett use these to drop along fence lines as windbreaks for livestock, weld them into shipping-container compound walls, or chop them up for raw corten cladding on barn projects. Anyone planning to weld, patch, and reskin doesn’t need our paint job - they need cheap, square steel.

We’re upfront that an As-Is purchase carries no 30-day guarantee and is not appropriate for any habitable space without a major rebuild. If your project plan starts with “I’m a welder” or “I’ve already converted three of these,” this is your unit. Otherwise, the CW or WWT grades are a much safer Aurora starting point.
